The Good, the Bad, and the Knitting

Last Friday I had oral surgery. So as not to gross anyone out, I will leave it at that.
  • The Bad was of course the surgery AND I couldn’t eat real food, just liquids.
  • The Good was that milk shakes, which have been banned from my menu for years, were now at the top of the list of things to eat.
  • The Bad is liquid foods don’t have staying power, and I was hungry an hour later but didn't want to eat.
  • The Good was I didn’t and couldn’t do anything but sleep, watch movies, and KNIT all weekend. And during the week I couldn’t go to the gym so MORE knitting time. (happy dance ... slowly)

This meant that I made great progress on two of my projects. Here is where I am now (the second picture is a FINISHED back - woo hoo). Click on the links under Projects I'm Working On, to see where these projects were just a week ago. (My First Fairisle and Lace Jacket from Rams Wool)

So all in all, it was Good, I’m recovering and my gums should be better, I ate ice cream and pudding, I watched movies and knitted with my dog totally guilt free and made wonderful progress on my projects!!!

Just think, if I didn't knit I would have viewed last weekend as having surgery and being stuck inside watching movies.

You're absolutely right knitting does make it all better! I'm going to stop working right now and wind up my skeins for my shrug!
