DeColors Progress

I did block the DeColors pieces over
Labor Day weekend (and get all the buttons sewn onto the various projects). And as of today, I have only 4 more strips to knit.

This weekend I didn't do any knitting on my projects. Instead I spent all my knitting time knitting samples for a new class I'm developing. Many of the students I have taught have asked me what is my "next" class. Well I only had one class. So I'm working on a Knit a Sweater class designed for beginners. I have the pattern written and the back and fronts knitted. This class won't start until Jan. so I have a bit of time. But I need to knit the sweater at least two times. So I have one example with the pieces seamed into a complete sweater and one with just the pieces.

This weekend, I did get the Cara pieces blocked. As you can see I decided not to sew the sleeves in until it was blocked.

This sweater has two lace bands that are sewn onto the bottom of the sweater. You can see the first lace band on the left. I have about 6 more inches to do and then I get to start the second band! I really do like knitting lace.
