I've finished the knitting of the Tile Stitch Silk Jacket by Rams Wool. I washed and blocked it this weekend. It generally takes a couple weeks for me to make myself stop knitting and sew up a project. But it's all dry and ready to be put together. So, what to do next? Finish up other projects? Na..............
I've signed up for Stitches West and Sally Melville is speaking at opening day. So I want to make something from her Color book to wear to opening day. Here's what I've decided.
This pattern; the Panel Pullover. This pattern is done with intarsia panels. So the front (and back) is done with 7 separate balls of yarn.
This yarn; from Ellen's Half Pint Farm. I just love her yarns! It's hand dyed 50% silk and 50% merino. I'm using Sally's suggestion of keeping the balls in a box. After you finish the first row, your yarn is twisted, because of the twist you do with the yarn when going from one ball to the next. But as you do the second row, the yarn untwists. There's never a big tangle. Oh and I should note this yarn is from my stash. It's funny but I really wanted to use this yarn, but really didn't want it to be deleted from my stash.
And here is the front so far. I really like making sweaters that include lace patterns.

Your Sally Melville is absolutely stunning -- so that's why you had all those balls in a box -- clever!
What a knockout you will be at Stitches in your lace panel sweater. I just love it. Now...I gotta go check out that yarn link.
