My office was shut-down from Dec. 23rd through Jan. 2nd and I really enjoyed my time off. I did many cleaning/straightening up projects, which always makes me feel so productive. Went to a movie with "the gang" and had "the gang" to my house to watch a movie.
Oh and I did some knitting...

Completed the front of the Sally Melville Lace Panel sweater. So now all I have to do are two sleeves.

Finished this blanket for charity.
Made lots of progress on my fairisle. See that small patch of white at the top? Well that's the beginning of the placket. After much thought, I decided to just do as the directions said and not steek the placket. But it's not much fun to knit at this point. The placket is done on smaller needles, I'm knitting back and forth, which means sometimes I read the chart from right to left and sometimes from left to right, and the placket and arm hole steeks take up stitches, so I can't always read a whole line of the chart, but must jump forward or backward depending on how many stitches the placket and steeks take. This project was so much fun to knit until all the exceptions were added. But the sleeves should be fun.
Also I started a new blanket for charity. This is done in five intarsia panels using Encore. Notice the wonderful knitting bag? A Christmas present from Julie T. I just love it. It's made of vintage fabric and so me.
I received one more knitting bag for Christmas from Cathy, which is to die for. When I get a picture of it, I'll post it here.
