Wow Do I have Nice Friends!!

I teach knitting for Adult Ed. I've been doing this for several years. For the last year, I have had mostly the same people in my class. About 2 weeks before the class ends, they decided what class they'd like next. For the last several quarters, we have been doing a class we call, Knit along with Cris. Each person picks a pattern they want to do. They come to class and knit on this project. I'm there to fix errors, explain the pattern, and teach skills. It's a fun class for everyone and we've all become friends.

Last quarter, Jennifer (a student) who is a glass artist said she would make dichroic glass buttons for everyone in class. I knew exactly which project I wanted buttons for - the Tilted Duster.

I gave her some of my yarn and these are the buttons she made for me. My Tilted Duster is on the blocking board right now. This weekend I will be sewing in the sleeves and knitting the bands. Then I'll decide which buttons I'll use. I'm leaning toward the blue ones (first picture). Look carefully at the pink ones. Two have a blue stripe and the other has a green stripe.
