I used to use this blog to document my knitting. But these last two years have brought many many changes in my life. So now I'm going to use this blog to capture all these changes. I now live in Fair Oaks and this blog will help me keep in touch with my friends and family.
After recovering from losing my job and husband all within 2 months of each other, I realize how much I was enjoying being my age and free to do what I wished (mostly). As I thought about my life it seemed to me that I'd spent the first 25 years growing up, the second 25 years raising my kids, and now the next 25 years are for me. I can do what I want, as long as I meet my responsibilities, without being selfish or feeling guilty.
I was telling David about my third life and he sent me the following New York Times article. It really struck a cord in me. I really wanted to share this.
